Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable software services and tools for customer engagement and associate experience.
- Own technical roadmaps for critical systems and drive improvements in performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Make technical decisions on system design, technology selection, and problem-solving approaches with minimal guidance.
- Lead design reviews, cross-functional technical alignment, and resolution of risks across multiple workstreams.
- Define and use key metrics to optimize system performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Create and champion technical documentation, including design documents and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience covering coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
