Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable data solutions used across K2 Space.
- Create and evolve data design to improve spacecraft design, build, and operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and business partners to understand challenges and design solutions.
- Own data solutions from concept to full-fledged product.
- Lead data architecture designs and drive data optimization.
- Evaluate competing data design tradeoffs.
- Advocate for your solutions among engineering leaders.
- Use data to prioritize work and design impactful solutions.
- Contribute to a culture of transparency, empathy, and engineering excellence.
- Mentor team members and promote good engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a STEM discipline, or 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong experience with data modeling, including schema design.
- Experience with data migration processes, including ETL and real-time data replication.
- 8+ years of experience with structured databases like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
- 5+ years of experience with hosted database solutions such as AWS RDS.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD deployment and Docker.
- Experience with Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
- 3+ years of experience with unstructured databases like NoSQL or Amazon DynamoDB.
- Experience with REST API.
