Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software systems.
- Contribute hands-on to software development while providing technical guidance and mentoring junior developers.
- Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and global stakeholders to align on architecture, design patterns, and technical direction.
- Participate in technical decision-making and ensure solutions meet business, performance, and reliability requirements.
- Drive code quality through code reviews, unit testing, engineering standards, and consistent development practices.
- Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and business and technology contacts to clarify requirements and manage technical dependencies.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and long-term system maintainability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including recent experience in a senior or lead development role.
- Strong proficiency in Java and enterprise application development.
- Experience with or willingness to code in C#.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery methods.
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, maintainable, and reliable software systems with strong software design and architecture knowledge.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones.
- An undergraduate degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Investment banking or financial services experience, particularly in equity derivatives, is preferred.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, mentoring, observability, monitoring, and production support is preferred.
