Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
- Build and operate secure, reliable, performant, observable, loosely coupled gRPC-based microservices for AWS Lambda.
- Improve fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and low-latency request processing for massive traffic volumes.
- Create customer-focused APIs and contribute to design, code reviews, testing, operations, and sustainable service ownership.
- Identify and eliminate flaky tests and help grow the Lambda service at global scale.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
