Responsibilities
- Develop software modules for automated risk decisioning and remediation at scale.
- Benchmark vendor, open-source, and in-house solutions for performance, cost, and risk posture.
- Partner with Data and ML Scientists on features, experimentation, and model monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver business outcomes through code.
- Integrate AI solutions into the technology platform and build new capabilities where applicable.
- Improve team technical operations and processes through automation.
- Monitor and debug production-grade software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong coding skills in JVM-based languages, especially Java or Scala, with object-oriented design experience.
- Familiarity with distributed cloud-native engineering using AWS, GCP, or Azure; microservices; API development; and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Some knowledge of Kafka, Flink, and Spark for streaming and data processing.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience working with Product, Program, Data, ML Science, and Quality Control stakeholders is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Experience with LLMs or other generative AI solutions is preferred.
- Risk and fraud experience in marketplace, travel, or e-commerce is preferred.
