Responsibilities
- Design, develop, evaluate, deploy, and monitor machine learning and generative AI solutions across client engagements.
- Prepare data, engineer features, develop models, and operate production ML systems.
- Build LLM applications using prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and foundation model APIs.
- Implement MLOps workflows including experiment tracking, model registries, CI/CD for ML, and model serving infrastructure.
- Deploy AI solutions using major cloud platforms and managed ML services.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, analysts, and business leaders in client-facing product and delivery teams.
- Contribute to Netlight's thought leadership and knowledge-sharing activities in Data and AI.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or Technology, such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of full-time experience in machine learning engineering, applied AI, or a closely related field after completing a Master's degree.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Hands-on experience across data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including managed ML services such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI, including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and foundation model API integration.
- Experience with MLOps practices and tools, experiment tracking, model registries, and model serving infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Ability to collaborate with data engineers, product owners, analysts, and business leaders in client-facing settings.
- Preferred experience designing agentic AI systems, including tool use, orchestration frameworks, and multi-agent architectures.
- Preferred knowledge of responsible AI and governance, including fairness, explainability, bias detection, and AI risk frameworks.
- Preferred experience fine-tuning or instruction-tuning foundation models with LoRA, RLHF, or PEFT.
- Preferred familiarity with vector databases and semantic search infrastructure such as Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or Qdrant.
- Preferred background in applied NLP, computer vision, or time-series forecasting.
- Preferred experience with data and AI platform architecture, including feature stores, data lakes, and lakehouse patterns.
