Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Build and deploy custom AI voice assistant, Telnyx API, and WebRTC implementations.
- Deploy and operate open-weight LLMs and LiteLLM gateways in cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped customer environments.
- Design model-routing strategies and manage routing, failover, rate limits, virtual keys, cost tracking, logging, observability, and guardrails.
- Adapt models through prompt and RAG pipelines, LoRA/QLoRA fine-tuning, and evaluation harnesses.
- Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard through go-live, and remain engaged until solutions are stable.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap using Latin American customer insights.
- Create technical documentation and runbooks in English and, when needed, Spanish or Portuguese.
- Troubleshoot complex integrations with customer teams and help address privacy, security, telecommunications, and data-residency requirements, including LGPD.
Requirements
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building software or performing technical consulting.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js, and Go.
- Production experience running LiteLLM or a comparable LLM gateway, including model definitions, proxy configuration, routing and fallback rules, and virtual key management.
- Understanding of production model-gateway issues including rate limits, quotas, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failures.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, observability, and upgrades.
- Strong API fluency, event-driven thinking, and cloud-native instincts.
- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, VoIP, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English.
- Located in or near Bogotá, Mexico City, or São Paulo, with authorization to work in the applicable country.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–30% across Latin America.
- Preferred qualifications include Spanish and Portuguese fluency, AI voice or conversational-system experience, model fine-tuning or post-training, inference-serving experience with vLLM, SGLang, TGI, or Ollama, SQL, ETL, DevOps fundamentals, private-cloud or sovereign-cloud architecture, and security experience.
