Base Salary
$95k - $159k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, ship, and maintain features in TypeScript across React frontends and backend services.
- Own delivery of project-level work from design through implementation and post-release iteration.
- Design and implement APIs for reliable data querying and aggregation.
- Build and operate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Serve as an on-call first responder for production issues and drive improvements.
- Create test plans and contribute to automated testing for safe releases.
- Conduct peer reviews of code and documentation to enhance team quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, sharing expertise within the team.
- Improve developer experience by enhancing tooling and code structure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful security outcomes.
Requirements
- Approximately 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
- Experience designing and building backend services and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and basic schema design.
- Experience writing automated tests and conducting code reviews.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and scope work with limited guidance.
- Track record of delivering on time and to agreed quality standards.
- Clear communication skills and comfort mentoring junior engineers.
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
