Responsibilities

  • Lead the front-end modernization of the product through modular, accessible, testable React applications and shared component and design-system architecture.
  • Own responsive layouts, accessibility, client-side performance, routing, state management, error handling, loading states, and the overall experience layer.
  • Partner with UX, product, analysts, designers, and engineers to design and deliver workflows for complex customer workloads.
  • Extend and refactor versioned .NET APIs, service boundaries, contracts, and legacy .NET code to support end-to-end features.
  • Write and tune SQL queries, improve indexing and transactional correctness, and contribute to Kafka-based event-driven data pipelines.
  • Use Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI agents for migrations, framework upgrades, refactoring, test scaffolding, documentation, and review workflows.
  • Create AI-assisted engineering playbooks, repository instructions, migration checklists, review heuristics, and definition-of-done standards.
  • Establish quality guardrails through component, integration, and end-to-end testing, CI controls, structured logging, observability, and secure data handling.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, delivery planning, and pragmatic trade-off decisions.
  • Improve delivery predictability, customer onboarding milestones, production reliability, and the maintainability of modernized code.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
  • Deep experience with React and Next.js, or comparable Angular depth combined with willingness to lead in React.
  • Experience building non-trivial applications involving component architecture, state management, routing, forms, accessibility, performance, shared libraries, and design systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, browser performance, accessibility, unit testing, component testing, end-to-end testing, and build/release tooling.
  • Working experience with C# and modern .NET, including the ability to read, extend, and refactor service code.
  • Practical SQL experience, including schema design, query tuning, and diagnosing database versus client performance problems.
  • Experience designing and consuming versioned service-oriented APIs with authentication, reliability, and testing practices.
  • Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure, particularly AWS.
  • Daily hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar for multi-file refactoring, migrations, test generation, and review workflows.
  • Preferred experience leading a front-end modernization, such as AngularJS to React, jQuery to a modern framework, or monolithic UI to micro-frontends.
  • Preferred deep design-system or component-library experience.
  • Preferred experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET or .NET Framework systems.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server in distributed systems.
  • Preferred experience with agent-friendly engineering practices, CI guardrails, feature flags, canary deployments, or progressive delivery.
  • Clear communication skills and experience working in regulated healthcare, fintech, or payments environments.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a stated US base salary range, though no specific amount is provided.
  • Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and other immigration support are unavailable.
  • Equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, collaborative environment.
