Responsibilities
- Convert R&D prototypes and validated AI concepts into tested, observable, maintainable production systems.
- Build and operate real-time personalization, recommendation, search, and ranking systems within live-traffic latency budgets.
- Develop cloud-native applications on AWS using TypeScript and Python while maintaining scalability, reliability, and low latency.
- Apply production monitoring, testing, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices to maintain a high engineering standard.
- Measure and evaluate AI model performance and use data and experimentation to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D engineers, AI researchers, product managers, data analysts, and Staff Engineers to deliver production-ready features.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of significant commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and working knowledge of Python.
- Experience delivering AI, machine learning, or data-driven features into production, such as recommendation engines, search systems, ranking systems, or LLM-powered applications.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Experience with production monitoring, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, scalability, reliability, and low-latency real-time systems.
- Experience measuring and evaluating AI model performance using data and experimentation.
- Strong modern software engineering practices, including clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
