Responsibilities
- Define and deliver high- and low-level architectures and designs for business-critical global products and platforms.
- Build business relationships, translate requirements into architecture blueprints, and support product and platform roadmaps.
- Own the technology, architecture, and design landscape from solutioning through delivery, adoption, and sale phases.
- Set technology direction, provide architecture governance, and potentially lead teams of solution and technical architects.
- Conduct technical feasibility assessments, buy/build analyses, vendor evaluations, proofs of concept, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, information security, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver architectures in compliance with enterprise standards.
- Define reusable technical assets, standards, and architecture and development guidelines.
- Support product and project managers with planning, forecasting, estimation, and cost considerations.
- Coach and mentor development teams and conduct code, architecture, design, and quality reviews.
- Provide technical leadership, advisory services, conflict mediation, and thought leadership across global distributed teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or Economics.
- 15+ years of overall IT industry experience, including 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role.
- Experience leading and governing global architecture teams and large, complex product, platform, or project portfolios.
- Hands-on architecture and technology delivery experience across application, infrastructure/cloud, integration, data, security, AI, or related domains.
- Expertise designing distributed and scalable products and platforms using reusable services, containers, and hybrid or multi-platform clouds.
- Expert-level skills in multiple programming and scripting languages, SQL and NoSQL databases, big data processing, data analytics, machine learning, and authentication and authorization technologies.
- Strong Microsoft and Microsoft Azure technology skills are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of design patterns, application and microservices architectures, containers, event-driven systems, data streaming, data transformation, and analytics.
- Experience with native cloud, full-stack applications, DevSecOps, automation, Agile practices, and enterprise security standards.
- One or more relevant certifications is preferred, such as Microsoft, Microsoft Azure, TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified, Pivotal, CISSIP, Zachman, ITIL, Cisco, (ISC)2, CEH, SAFe, PMI, or SAP.
- Experience with low-code/no-code, generative AI, data reporting, data management and governance, mobile applications, and deep cloud security concepts is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, analytical, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management abilities.
