
Global Integration Architect Lead - SAP Platforms

Responsibilities
- Define and own global integration architecture strategy for SAP and non-SAP platforms across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and HCM.
- Establish API-led, event-driven, batch, synchronous, and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Act as final design authority for complex integrations involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, and third-party systems.
- Lead architectural use and governance of SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors where applicable.
- Define API standards, lifecycle management, versioning, security, throttling, reuse, and event-driven architecture practices.
- Enforce Clean Core and side-by-side extensibility principles while reviewing integration exceptions and technical debt.
- Identify integration risks, performance bottlenecks, security gaps, and data consistency issues, and support compliance and audit requirements.
- Lead and mentor regional and domain Integration Architects and oversee system integrators and vendors.
- Participate in architecture review boards and release governance forums and communicate technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience integrating SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, and SAP SuccessFactors in large global environments.
- Strong expertise in SAP Integration Suite, including CPI and API Management.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale API-led and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of SAP standard APIs, data objects, and integration best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth2, SAML, certificate-based security, and integration performance tuning.
- Experience with hybrid integration across SAP cloud, hyperscalers, and on-premises systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into durable integration architectures rather than one-off solutions.
- Experience influencing stakeholders without direct control in large, matrixed, global organizations with multiple delivery teams.
- Preferred experience with global SAP transformation programs involving S/4HANA, RISE, Ariba, and SuccessFactors.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-assisted delivery, automation, or integration governance at scale is preferred.
