Software Engineering & Development – Development Lead

Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects for an internal cloud-based platform.
- Design and handle applications independently and develop solutions to business and technical requirements.
- Write unit and automation tests and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality.
- Participate in Scrum activities including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and developing solutions.
- Collaborate with peers and multiple teams across locations in an Agile development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field plus seven years of commercial software development experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent plus five years of such experience.
- Professional development experience with Python, Java, and SQL in multi-tier solutions and cloud computing environments.
- Experience with Apache Spark on Databricks, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software applications and projects.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology and strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to gather and understand requirements and develop solutions for business needs.
- Prior experience in financial services, mutual funds, repo, and/or collateral industries.
