Responsibilities
- Implement new capabilities in the FortiDLP endpoint agent and lead feature development efforts.
- Maintain and improve existing endpoint-agent functionality.
- Write code and tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold code quality, maintainability, secure coding, and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with endpoint engineers, product managers, technical writers, support teams, and QA throughout the development lifecycle.
- Write technical specifications, coordinate implementation, demo features, support launches, document solutions, and help debug field issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with computer science fundamentals.
- Experience developing software in Go, C, C++, Java, Scala, C#, or Swift; willingness to learn Go and other languages is acceptable.
- Experience with kernel and device-driver development for Windows, Linux, or Mac.
- Familiarity with systems analytics, dynamic tracing, and performance-analysis tools such as Instruments, VTune, DTrace, and eBPF.
- Knowledge of observability technologies, logging, metrics, and security principles including PKI, certificates, and cryptography.
- Clear communication, effective cross-functional collaboration, ownership, and commitment to code quality and maintainability.
