Responsibilities

  • Understand end-user needs and develop solutions optimized for usability.
  • Translate customer and product requirements into software system solutions.
  • Design effective, high-performance solutions collaboratively with systems, software, and hardware teams.
  • Create documentation and provide guidance and coaching to share knowledge and develop the team.
  • Contribute to software plans, milestones, and estimates.
  • Use AI capabilities appropriately to improve development effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with development teams to drive solutions through delivery while managing change and technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience architecting software solutions across user, application, and embedded domains.
  • Experience with requirements development and management.
  • Ability to mentor others and share knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience solving undefined, complex systems issues using deep architectural knowledge.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to define deliverable solutions from high-level statements of need.
  • Preferred: subject matter expertise in signal processing domain architectures.
  • Preferred: experience interfacing with external vendors, component suppliers, or client engineering teams.
  • Preferred: background in defence or a related field.
  • Preferred: background in safe or high-reliability software development.
