Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and enhance software applications in a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in software lifecycle activities including design, development, integration, testing, deployment, transition to production, maintenance, and production support.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, and business partners.
  • Perform functional and technical testing to ensure application quality and compatibility.
  • Use version control, collaboration, and issue-tracking tools in daily work.
  • Apply academic learning to technical and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in at least the second year of a post-secondary degree or diploma program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Be registered at a Canadian college or university and returning to school after the work term or completing a required placement.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, independent-working, and teamwork skills.
  • Be willing to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
  • Previous internship, co-op, academic project, or volunteer software development experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows or mainframe environments and exposure to Oracle, PL/SQL, cloud or container technologies, automated testing, deployment, data analysis, Agile practices, HTML/CSS, integration pipelines, ServiceNow, ITIL, Microsoft PowerApps, Power BI, or Microsoft Access are assets.
