Responsibilities
- Architect REST and gRPC APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations and asynchronous code.
- Design and build large-scale infrastructure for crawling, ranking, and retrieval systems.
- Implement security concepts and develop secure, compliant software for sensitive data.
- Write maintainable, readable, robust, and testable code.
- Improve code quality, reliability, and product velocity while collaborating with peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with a strongly typed language such as Rust, C++, or Java.
- At least 6 years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills, general computer science knowledge, and a record of shipping high-quality products.
- Experience writing performant, readable, robust, and well-tested code.
- Experience with protocol buffers, gRPC, MapReduce or other massively distributed parallel computation frameworks, hyper-growth startups, world-class product organizations, or financial services is a bonus.
