Responsibilities
- Own product features from discovery and design through implementation and deployment.
- Work with customers and company leadership to translate operational objectives into clear requirements and iterative software solutions.
- Build performant backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces for complex decision-support workflows.
- Develop time-series forecasts for energy consumption and renewable generation.
- Create linear optimization algorithms to help reduce energy costs.
- Help shape the product and engineering stack in an early-stage company.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience building scalable web applications in an early-stage startup environment.
- Experience independently delivering complete product features in collaboration with customers.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals across backend services and frontend interfaces for complex decision-support systems.
- Fluent spoken and written German.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, React, and Python is valued.
- Experience with TypeScript, FastAPI, and Supabase is useful.
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in time-series forecasting and linear optimization, plus curiosity about energy markets and data-intensive business applications.
- Evidence of fit for a founding product engineering role, such as early-stage startup experience or a generalist engineering background.
Benefits
- Base salary of €85,000 to €140,000 annually.
- Hybrid role based in Munich, Germany, with on-site work the majority of the week and occasional remote-work flexibility.
