Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Red Hat Product Security, partners, and customer security and operations teams on security paradigms.
  • Facilitate customer use of the Lightwell clearinghouse for triage, patching, and backporting.
  • Advise customers on consuming Lightwell-remediated libraries within their software development lifecycle alongside Red Hat Consulting.
  • Develop customer engagement plans, maintain environment documentation, and respond to support requests.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, and support teams to debug and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor customer teams on security best practices and contribute to the Red Hat knowledge base.
  • Develop solution patterns that guide platform adoption and support long-term enterprise success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, security, customer support, engineering, or QA.
  • Demonstrated success in a strategic advisory role with senior IT and business executives.
  • Applied knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps team methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of software supply chains and continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Advanced expertise in containerized application deployment using OpenShift and Kubernetes and non-containerized deployment using Ansible/AAP.
  • Experience with image building using Docker and Podman and version control methodologies using Git.
  • Experience with artifact repository tools including Red Hat Quay, JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, and uDeploy.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Workflows, OpenShift GitOps, and Red Hat Pipelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of unit testing basics including JUnit and pytest and governance automation checks.
  • Understanding of library versioning using semver and the broader Java ecosystem.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical information concisely.
  • Associate's, bachelor's degree, or higher in computer science or a technical discipline.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and to customer locations as required.
  • Executive presence and English communication skills.
  • Passion for open-source software and the Red Hat technology portfolio is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a developer, consultant, or solutions architect is preferred.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer certification, with Red Hat Certified Architect preferred, is preferred.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, CC, or CEH are preferred.
