Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed services for data center metric ingestion, stream processing, alarm evaluation, telemetry persistence, analytics, and industrial device management.
- Build integrations that route alarms and tickets to operations teams with useful resolution context.
- Integrate Amazon Bedrock and other generative AI capabilities for summarization, pattern detection, and triage assistance without training models.
- Improve system efficiency by simplifying services, deprecating unnecessary fleet components, and reducing cost per metric and device.
- Define infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, connect deployments to CI/CD, and own production operations.
- Write designs with trade-off analysis, participate in design reviews, provide code feedback, mentor earlier-career engineers, and participate in on-call and root-cause remediation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with Java, Python, or TypeScript and distributed service development.
- Preferred experience building or operating software for data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, controls systems, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, alarm, telemetry, or ticketing platforms.
- Hands-on data center operations experience is preferred.
