Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable software systems and services.
- Own medium-to-large features or components from ambiguous problem definition through delivery.
- Write high-quality code, technical documentation, and design documents.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews while improving engineering quality and consistency.
- Monitor service health, respond to operational events, participate in on-call, and reduce operational load through automation and root-cause fixes.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partner teams to define technical approaches and manage dependencies.
- Improve CI/CD, testing, observability, performance, and security practices while reducing technical debt.
- Mentor junior engineers, including SDE I engineers and interns, and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
