Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, packaging, deployment, release, and environment-provisioning processes.
- Maintain build, test, and deployment environments across operating systems, platforms, and software configurations.
- Administer Azure, VMware vSphere, servers, virtual machines, storage, networking, and related infrastructure.
- Manage source control, build, release, code-quality, artifact-management, testing, security-scanning, and software-composition-analysis tools.
- Develop automation tools, scripts, and solutions using Python, Shell, and related technologies.
- Administer Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift platforms and workloads.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health through logging, monitoring, and alerting, and drive operational reliability.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, infrastructure, networking, platform, and software-configuration issues and implement preventive measures.
- Manage software artifacts, packages, dependencies, installers, certificates, software signing, and secure build and release credentials.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams on software delivery and cross-functional issue resolution.
- Define DevOps standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and release-readiness practices.
- Evaluate and introduce DevOps, cloud, automation, infrastructure, and testing technologies.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in computer science, information technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- 6–9 years of experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer designing, maintaining, and improving systems and infrastructure used to build, package, and release enterprise software.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Shell, Batch scripting, or comparable languages.
- Knowledge of software development practices and object-oriented languages such as C# or C++.
- Experience with Git, SVN, or equivalent source-control platforms and branching strategies.
- Hands-on experience managing Windows Server and Windows-based build, test, and application environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, virtual machines, templates, and automated environment provisioning.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as NUnit, VSTest, and Ranorex.
- Familiarity with MSBuild, Visual Studio toolchains, NuGet, InstallShield, Artifactory, and related repository solutions.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for querying and analyzing build, test, and operational data.
- Understanding of software quality practices, static code analysis, software composition analysis, secure software supply chains, and application security controls.
- Experience with code signing, digital certificates, secrets management, credential security, and secure release processes.
- Working knowledge of networking, storage, backup, server infrastructure, and enterprise platform technologies.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and automation integrations.
- Preferred experience with software release management, installation testing, upgrade validation, backward compatibility testing, and multi-version release support.
- Preferred experience supporting enterprise, desktop, embedded, industrial, hardware-integrated, or multi-product software environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, technical documentation, and communication skills.
