Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship backend APIs and services for the editor, dashboard, and customer documentation sites.
- Improve content ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing infrastructure for thousands of customer repositories.
- Build search, retrieval, and agent infrastructure for AI-powered products.
- Improve caching, queues, databases, and observability to support performance, reliability, and growth.
- Collaborate across design and engineering, contribute to product and technical decisions, and take features from development through launch.
- Engage directly with customers and use their feedback to shape products.
- Work beyond the backend when needed to deliver complete features.
Requirements
- Strong experience with systems design, API architecture, databases, and production systems.
- Strong product intuition and attention to the rationale behind technical decisions.
- Adaptability and willingness to work beyond backend development when needed.
- Comfort with high ownership and defining solutions rather than following a detailed specification.
- Interest in speaking directly with customers and incorporating their insights.
- Preferred qualities include learning velocity, grit, and the ability to thrive in a small, high-agency team.
