Responsibilities
- Apply testing pyramid principles and white-box techniques to determine effective automation coverage.
- Design, implement, execute, and maintain web UI automated tests using Playwright and Python.
- Design, implement, execute, and maintain mobile application tests using Appium and Python.
- Develop API automated tests in Python.
- Drive QA architecture changes, refactoring, automation roadmaps, and continuous process improvements.
- Review automated test code and mentor QA team members.
- Ensure application compatibility across browsers, devices, and platforms.
- Maintain documentation for test scripts, frameworks, and processes.
- Conduct regression testing and manual validation to support software releases.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
- Work with developers, product owners, and stakeholders on requirements, testability, and quality.
- Use AI tools to accelerate platform understanding and automated test development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automation testing, including API, Playwright, and Appium frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Thorough understanding of the testing pyramid and appropriate test placement.
- Experience with AI tools and developing AI skills, with a critical approach to AI-generated output.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
- Familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems and mobile app development.
- Experience with Git or comparable version control systems.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and integrating automated tests into development workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of QA principles, best practices, and testing standards.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience building agentic automation is preferred.
- Experience in sports betting or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Passion for sports is a differentiator.
