Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of front-end solutions using JavaScript and React.js.
- Drive web application architecture decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Guide engineers on modern JavaScript practices, state management, modular coding, and asynchronous operations.
- Review code and uphold coding, security, performance, and quality standards.
- Oversee React.js integration with backend services and APIs, including contracts, data flows, and error handling.
- Collaborate with product and merchandising stakeholders to define technical specifications for catalog, pricing, and promotion capabilities.
- Provide effort estimates, technical risk assessments, and implementation plans for releases and resource allocation.
- Monitor production performance through analytics, logging, and metrics and drive optimization efforts.
- Promote secure development practices including input validation, session management, and secure data handling.
- Improve branching, code review, automated testing, and development workflows.
- Document technical decisions, reusable patterns, and component designs.
- Partner with quality specialists to define unit, component, and integration testing strategies for React.js applications.
Requirements
- Eight to ten years of practical experience with JavaScript and React.js.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser compatibility.
- Experience with merchandising domains such as product catalog management, pricing workflows, and promotions.
- Knowledge of hybrid work collaboration and distributed-team communication.
- Proficiency with version control and structured branching workflows.
- Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when addressing defects, performance issues, and user feedback.
