Responsibilities
- Architect, design, code, test, and maintain Visa Business Solutions B2B products.
- Lead architecture and design for owned applications and contribute technical expertise in reviews of other applications.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions.
- Develop maintainable, high-performance Java/J2EE code following security, coding, design-pattern, and development standards.
- Collaborate with development, QA, operations, network, engineering, stakeholders, and project teams on deliverables and production issues.
- Create installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Identify enhancements to standards, best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies.
- Analyze team data and statistical results to identify complex issues and solutions.
- Adapt to technologies and patterns that improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years with an advanced degree, 5 years with a PhD, or 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing with Java IDEs such as Eclipse/MyEclipse or JetBrains IntelliJ.
- Hands-on experience designing, fine-tuning, and integrating GenAI/LLM solutions, including production AI features or developer tooling.
- Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and model optimization for enterprise systems.
- Experience architecting applications from the ground up, including infrastructure sizing, technology selection, and performance estimation.
- Extensive experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and web frameworks at scale.
- Experience with Git/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, MySQL, MongoDB, Unix/Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Hazelcast, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with web technologies, APIs, authentication standards, Tomcat, SoapUI, and Postman.
- Experience with automation, system availability, auto-deployment, Agile/Scrum development, and SAFe.
- Strong communication, facilitation, prioritization, ambiguity-navigation, accountability, and quality orientation.
- Prior experience in payments or B2B products is preferred.
