Base Salary

$113k - $183k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated API, contract, business-flow, and end-to-end UI tests for MineStar microservices.
  • Test REST and Protobuf endpoints, including positive, negative, boundary, error-handling, schema-validation, authorization, and MQTT event scenarios.
  • Automate AngularUI WebApp user journeys with Playwright, TypeScript, reusable fixtures, Page Object Models, and parallel execution.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD test pipelines using GitHub Actions and troubleshoot flaky tests and automation failures to root cause.
  • Support test environment readiness and test data management on Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
  • Perform parity checks between modernized and legacy systems and validate behavior across services.
  • Collaborate through shift-left practices, three-amigos conversations, code reviews, and quality gates.
  • Mentor embedded scrum-team QAs and communicate quality status, coverage, and risk to stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile delivery, shift-left testing, definitions of done, and quality gates.
  • Experience with Cucumber or BDD frameworks as a collaboration practice.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, or strong JavaScript with credible TypeScript ramp-up capability; Java, C#, or typed Python experience may also be considered.
  • Experience designing and maintaining reliable automated tests across API, business-flow, and end-to-end UI layers.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and contracts, including authorization and role-based access control.
  • Experience with Protobuf or gRPC, MQTT or event-driven testing, Kubernetes, or containerized platform testing is preferred.
  • Java reading literacy, mining or industrial automation experience, and safety-critical domain experience are preferred.
  • Performance and load testing experience with k6, JMeter, or Gatling is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, test analysis, communication, mentoring, and documentation skills.
