Responsibilities
- Design and scale SLAM pipelines for accurate localisation and state estimation in dynamic physical spaces.
- Integrate foundation geometry models and modern machine learning into localisation, data association, and visual odometry systems.
- Architect and maintain long-term mapping systems that update and scale spatial maps across changing environments.
- Build auto-labeling data pipelines that generate spatial ground truth for downstream machine learning training.
- Develop hybrid classical-geometry and deep-learning systems that produce globally consistent metric trajectories.
- Deploy and benchmark spatial AI software on physical robot hardware under deterministic, low-latency edge-compute constraints.
- Evaluate geometric learning research and translate promising techniques into reliable production navigation systems.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise in classical SLAM and multi-view geometry, including state estimation, visual or LiDAR odometry, and multi-sensor fusion.
- Experience with backend map optimization and long-term mapping in large or changing physical environments.
- Practical experience applying modern machine learning to geometric problems and utilizing or adapting foundation geometry models.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines or auto-labeling workflows for geometric and spatial datasets.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, including clean, highly parallelized, production-grade algorithmic code.
- Hands-on experience deploying navigation systems on physical hardware and understanding real-world robotics edge constraints.
- Ability to evaluate current CVPR and ICRA research and make models reliable in production.
