Base Salary
$114k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers on electronic data processing systems and product and commercial software.
- Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems involving program intent, inputs, outputs, programming techniques, and controls.
- Prepare operating instructions and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensure software standards are met.
Requirements
- Principal Engineer Level 3 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional or military experience in Systems Engineering, or a master's degree and 3 years of related experience.
- Senior Principal Engineer Level 4 requires a STEM bachelor's degree and 8 years of related professional or military experience in Systems Engineering, or a master's degree and 6 years of related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
- An active Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include communication and technical writing skills and the ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring government clearance.
