Performance Engineer - Software Engineering SMTS
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build tools, services, and processes that improve scalability, performance, reuse, and adoption among web developers.
- Create and own the performance framework, including automated enhancements and performance best practices.
- Develop self-service tools to improve application performance and developer productivity.
- Plan, execute, and automate individual product and integrated systems performance tests.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend performance improvements.
- Develop proofs of concept to demonstrate new technologies and ideas.
- Optimize cloud-hosted applications, databases, web servers, distributed systems, and front-end performance.
- Support Docker image building, maintenance, orchestration, and pipelining.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience with understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle and a strong performance engineering and automation mindset.
- Extensive experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Artillery, Puppeteer, and Cucumber, including scripting and test execution.
- Strong programming or scripting ability in at least one language such as Ruby, Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience automating comprehensive performance tests and working as a performance test specialist.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, Git, New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, SQL and NoSQL databases, HTTP/HTTPS, Apache, and Nginx.
- Knowledge of performance analysis, DDoS mitigation, server infrastructure, networking, load balancers, and CDN services.
- Understanding of Agile environments, DevOps practices, CI/CD, performance monitoring, Jenkins or Jenkins Pipelines, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Sauce Labs, and Nexus.
- Understanding of front-end testing methodologies and frameworks; JUnit, Jest, and Selenium-based automation frameworks are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with Heroku Pipeline, Heroku CI, Review Apps, Salesforce metadata/environment/sandbox management, Salesforce code and metadata CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent Salesforce experience.
