Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware and ASIC teams on platform bring-up, low-level drivers, and Network Interface Module integration.
- Design, implement, and maintain ROMMON and bootloader software for secure system initialization.
- Develop and optimize high-performance forwarding-plane software for secure routing environments.
- Implement and optimize Layer 2 networking protocols and platform features.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks across kernel, hardware-abstraction, control-plane, firmware, and software layers.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools and integrated development environments to improve development efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of industry experience developing networking software across platforms, system software, kernel and user-space drivers, bootloaders, and BIOS.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ systems programming in Linux environments.
- Experience developing device drivers and working with RTOS and Linux kernels.
- Understanding of routing architectures and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, including Ethernet, VLANs, and STP.
- Experience with ROMMON, bootloaders, hardware bring-up, and board support packages.
- Preferred: knowledge of PHY, MAC, MACSEC, DPDK, I2C, PCIe, GDB, Arium, BDI, x86 or ARM assembly, instruction sets, and ABIs.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML development techniques and tools, code assistants, static analysis tools, and test automation platforms.
- Ability to collaborate and debug complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, and software.
