Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership and operational expertise for the GFDP-RDP-On-Prem platform across run-the-bank and change-the-bank activities.
- Own Trino/Starburst platform stewardship, including stability, performance optimization, upgrades, standards, and tenant support.
- Lead tenant onboarding across infrastructure provisioning, ingestion, ETL enablement, and deployment integration.
- Drive complex cross-platform troubleshooting across networks, firewalls, load balancers, ingestion, ETL, and consumption layers.
- Maintain platform controls and regulatory compliance as an ITSO delegate.
- Improve release governance, production readiness, operational stability, change success, and GRAS outcomes.
- Lead platform modernization, evergreening, automation, and operational toil reduction initiatives.
- Guide engineers, coordinate partner teams, lead technical triage, and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience owning production platform stability, incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, and preventative engineering in a regulated enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with distributed query and consumption platforms, ideally Trino/Starburst, including configuration, performance tuning, capacity planning, and upgrades.
- Strong experience with automation and deployment practices using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Git workflows.
- Experience operating multi-tenant platforms with segregation, permissions, controlled deployments, and fair resource utilization.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and advanced log, service, and configuration troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals including firewalls, load balancers, connectivity, and TLS.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps controls covering access management, segregation of duties, change management, and audit evidence.
- Ability to lead cross-team technical triage, influence decisions, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with resilience improvements, RTO/RPO alignment, failover and recovery automation, and testing.
- Preferred experience designing highly available JupyterHub environments and leading large-scale server-estate evergreening and vulnerability remediation.
- Familiarity with Splunk, AppDynamics, Control-M, Vault, monitoring, scheduling, secrets management, certificate renewals, and key rotation processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, ownership, risk management, prioritization, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
