Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of enterprise cloud programs.
- Contribute to FactSet’s cloud platform and capabilities and drive adoption of cloud services.
- Enable engineering teams to adopt DevOps, infrastructure as code, and automated release processes.
- Ensure core infrastructure services are available in the cloud and easily consumable by engineering teams.
- Develop processes and tooling for high availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical cloud services.
- Partner with the security organization to maintain a strong cloud security posture.
- Identify and implement cloud-service cost optimization strategies.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional business and technology discussions and initiatives.
- Participate in periodic on-call coverage and occasional weekend work.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of hands-on public cloud experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business.
- Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional technology teams, planning, capital expense budgeting, and process improvement.
- At least 3 years of GCP experience in a highly distributed, fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of one or more of Python, GoLang, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Experience with Docker, GKE, and serverless technologies including Cloud Run or Lambda.
- Strong foundational knowledge of GCP and AWS networking services, including VPC, NCC, Cloud Interconnect, TGW, Direct Connect, ILB, ALB, NLB, and PrivateLink.
- Knowledge of generative AI and AI/ML tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, analytical, strategic, creative, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead discussions at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in information/computer science, engineering, or a related discipline with an IT focus.
