Responsibilities
- Build foundational backend infrastructure platforms that operate across multiple geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for managing and operating services.
- Build tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
- Work on programming languages, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, automated release pipelines, and test automation frameworks, with a current focus on Rust development.
- Contribute throughout project phases from design and development through implementation and ongoing operations.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of production-level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with service-oriented architectures.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Ability to contribute across design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations with guidance from senior team members.
