Responsibilities
- Build foundational infrastructure platforms that operate across geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for managing and operating services.
- Build and operate large-scale backend systems for the Databricks platform.
- Develop tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
- Contribute across design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations with guidance from senior team members.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of production-level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience with a SaaS platform or service-oriented architectures.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
