$171k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that improve machine learning scalability, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to implement, refine, and design machine learning algorithms.
- Productionalize prototype models for customer use at scale, including training automation, prediction automation, data orchestration, and model comparison metrics.
- Enhance model implementations to improve prediction performance or reduce training time.
- Build machine learning and data processing tools that address data science workflow pain points.
- Develop end-to-end pipelines by refining features from diverse data sources.
- Automate, deliver, monitor, and improve machine learning solutions.
- Communicate technical results effectively to peers and leaders.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Scala, Java, and Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and software performance implications of computer architecture.
- Experience with version control systems and workflows, including Git and GitHub, and the ability to write production-ready code.
- Knowledge of SQL, scikit-learn, NLTK, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, and clustering, along with training, validation, and testing principles.
- Experience with stream processing, distributed computing systems, and technologies such as Spark, Hive, and Flink.
- Knowledge of AWS and Amazon SageMaker tools.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and software container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to explore state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to customer-focused solutions.
