Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain SLOs, error budgets, reliability targets, and service lifecycle controls.
  • Own build, test, and deployment pipelines across staging, UAT, and production environments.
  • Design zero-downtime deployments and low-impact change strategies for high-availability systems.
  • Develop rollback, failover, and disaster recovery runbooks for production incidents.
  • Drive automation, standardization, observability, incident response, and post-incident improvement.
  • Maintain audit-ready change and incident documentation and support internal and external audits.
  • Communicate reliability risks, incident status, SLO metrics, and production trends to technical, business, compliance, and management stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering within financial services or fintech.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining reliability for real-time transaction systems, mobile banking, or payment gateways.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and observability or monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and their operational implications for production systems.
  • Strong cross-functional communication, attention to detail, risk awareness, and incident-response judgment.
