Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cryptographic services for certificate lifecycle, key management, secrets distribution, and workload identity.
- Architect and operate reliable, secure crypto services in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Own Kubernetes service deployment, scaling, on-call operations, and incident response.
- Apply threat modeling, secure coding, and rigorous code review to cryptographic systems.
- Evaluate appropriate AI/ML applications for security, including anomaly detection, risk scoring, telemetry analysis, and cryptographic code review.
- Translate compliance and security requirements into working cryptographic frameworks with product, security, and platform teams.
- Mentor engineers on secure coding, cryptographic pitfalls, and design review practices.
- Track cryptographic advancements, including post-quantum cryptography, and prepare the platform for future requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Production-scale experience with Java, Go, or a comparable strongly typed language.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and distributed-systems tradeoffs.
- Production experience running services on Kubernetes in a SaaS or multi-tenant environment, including deployments, Helm, and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and TLS/PKI fundamentals.
- Experience with cryptography, PKI, key management, secrets management, certificate lifecycle systems, HSM/KMS integration, or crypto-agility work.
- Experience with regulated environments such as FIPS 140-2/3, FedRAMP, or Common Criteria.
- Exposure to post-quantum cryptography.
- Hands-on AI/ML experience applied to security or operations problems, or experience integrating LLM tooling into engineering workflows.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and improving security practices.
