Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship performant, reliable, production-grade AI agents.
- Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration.
- Work directly with enterprise and startup customers to understand business challenges and build tailored AI agent solutions.
- Prototype tools and features, develop agent frameworks and architectures, and collaborate with research, product, and platform teams.
- Experiment with voice models and integrate them at enterprise scale.
- Surface customer needs and use them to guide the evolution of Sierra’s core platform.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
- A builder and tinkerer mindset with high agency and a focus on shipping.
- Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
- Preferred: familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred: prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
- Preferred: founder or founding engineer experience, or experience interfacing with customers and leading technical projects with external stakeholders.
