Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve CPU, GPU, memory, energy, and I/O performance bottlenecks across Android devices.
- Evaluate engineering workflows, streamline processes, and proactively reduce technical debt.
- Design and implement Android performance metrics and automated testing pipelines.
- Diagnose and fix rendering anomalies and runtime issues, including frame-rate drops, graphical artifacts, and memory leaks.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to gather requirements and deliver and iterate on features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience using C++.
- Strong foundation in computer science, applied mathematics, and analytical modeling.
- Deep understanding of the Android ecosystem and mobile game development.
- Experience with multithreading, performance analysis, and code optimization.
- Proficiency in at least one graphics API: Vulkan, OpenGL, or Metal.
- Fluent written English for professional communications.
- Preferred: cross-platform development experience with iOS, Windows, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch.
- Preferred: familiarity with Lua or similar scripting languages.
- Preferred: examples of advanced C++ work, such as custom engines or renderers.
