Responsibilities
- Design, write, debug, and refine networked gameplay systems and features.
- Develop limited-time events, evergreen retention features, social experiences, and AR/VR motion-tracking enhancements.
- Iterate quickly in response to testing feedback and design iterations.
- Provide technical insight and ideas regarding game design.
- Work closely with designers and backend engineers on real-time and asynchronous features.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of relevant programming experience in the game industry.
- Knowledge and usage of a 3D art tool such as Maya and excellent 3D vector math skills.
- Experience building gameplay systems and building blocks that enable designers to author content.
- Expert-level proficiency in C, C++, or C# and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with scripting languages and multiple data formats such as Lua and JSON.
- MMO experience.
- Fluent spoken English for professional communications.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, feedback, and iterative-development abilities.
- Preferred experience with Python programming.
- Preferred experience with backend languages such as Go, Erlang, and/or PL/SQL.
- Preferred experience managing persistent account data.
- Preferred experience with synchronous multiplayer features and live-service multiplayer online games.
- Preferred AR/VR development experience.
- Preferred mobile games development experience.
