Responsibilities
- Build, train, evaluate, maintain, and monitor CNN, U-Net, and ViT models for automated inspection and measurement.
- Develop real-time anomaly detection systems for product-development sensor and time-series data, including threshold calibration and drift alerting.
- Implement and iterate surrogate-model pipelines and active-learning systems, including acquisition-function configuration and uncertainty-guided experiment scheduling.
- Define and maintain the data contract between data engineering and ML systems, validate datasets and feature specifications, and escalate data-quality issues.
- Maintain model versions, training pipelines, containers, MLflow tracking, monitoring, and product-development reliability under platform architecture.
- Provide code-review guidance, mentor junior team members, and document model decisions and evaluation outcomes for production handoff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in AI, machine learning, computer science, or a related field; an AI major or strong AI research focus is preferred.
- 1–3 years of hands-on ML engineering experience, or equivalent depth demonstrated through internships, academic research, or open-source contributions.
- Demonstrated component-level technical ownership across an end-to-end ML pipeline from training through deployment.
- Strong Python proficiency and proficient-to-expert PyTorch skills for independent model training and evaluation.
- Strong computer-vision foundation in CNNs plus hands-on depth in U-Net/segmentation, ViT/transformer-based vision, or time-series anomaly detection.
- Experience implementing surrogate models, active-learning systems, data-to-model interfaces, model evaluation, uncertainty analysis, and technical documentation.
- Practical MLOps experience with MLflow, Docker, Git, and basic CI/CD contributions.
- PINNs, Bayesian methods, reinforcement-learning basics, AWS-based ML deployment, and RAG pipeline fundamentals are preferred.
