Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve customer trading-system issues in real time using hands-on troubleshooting.
- Interact with trading-desk leaders, developers, and systems administrators at customer sites.
- Resolve production issues involving missing trades, exchange connectivity, and system outages.
- Develop tactical and strategic solutions to prevent future problems.
- Remain composed while handling high-pressure situations involving millions of dollars in trades.
Requirements
- Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving ability, attention to detail, self-management, initiative, and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
- Experience working with the Windows operating system.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: Python programming skills and proficiency with SQL and databases.
- Preferred: Previous customer-facing software support experience.
- Preferred: Experience with electronic trading protocols, including FIX.
- Preferred: UNIX/Linux experience and knowledge of financial trading businesses, preferably fixed income.
