Base Salary

$270k - $350k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build a reliable screen-context engine for dictation, Notetaker, Instruct Mode, and future products.
  • Own the architecture of Wispr’s macOS platform and establish technical direction across accessibility, native integrations, memory, state, and background behavior.
  • Solve difficult performance, correctness, and cross-application failures.
  • Expand Flow’s screen understanding while protecting performance and user privacy.
  • Create durable OS-specific foundations that other engineers can extend.
  • Turn ambiguous technical problems into clear direction for a team.

Requirements

  • Experience designing a system or platform that other engineers successfully built on.
  • Recent experience shipping meaningful production code for a desktop application.
  • Ability to debug unfamiliar systems from first principles.
  • Experience owning a quality or UX metric, not only a feature roadmap.
  • Exceptional platform depth; prior experience with voice, ML, Electron, accessibility APIs, or macOS is not strictly required.
