Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain agentic end-to-end benchmarking pipelines and diagnostic tooling for tracking, reproducing, and preventing performance regressions.
- Use AI to profile traces, diagnose memory and CPU bottlenecks, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Improve application efficiency by reducing memory usage, jank, and execution runtimes.
- Partner with first-party application teams including Search, YouTube, and Geo, as well as Infrastructure teams, to design centralized solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of Android application development experience.
- Five years of coding experience with Kotlin and Java.
- Three years of working experience with performance and memory.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: five years of experience with at least two of Android development, machine learning, and performance optimizations.
- Preferred: five years of experience in test automation, refactoring code, test-driven development, build infrastructure, optimizing software, debugging, or building tools and testing frameworks.
