Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-quality production software solutions.
- Build distributed systems and scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and optimize data lake, ETL, batch-processing, and streaming solutions for large and diverse datasets.
- Analyze data to identify hidden problems and patterns that improve coding hygiene, system architecture, and application performance.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development practices for coding, code review, testing, refactoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs, including peer review, automated testing, secure coding, correctness, performance, and security checks.
- Coach engineers on safe, compliant, and responsible use of AI tools in software delivery workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Advanced hands-on proficiency with Java 17/21+, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
- Strong experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures, including topic design, partitions, consumer groups, and delivery semantics.
- Expertise designing distributed systems with scalability, resiliency, security, and performance best practices.
- In-depth experience with Cassandra data modeling, partition strategy, and query tuning at scale.
- Extensive experience with AWS data lake and ETL technologies, including S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Experience with Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS ECS.
- Hands-on mastery of Apache Spark for batch and streaming data processing and performance optimization.
- Proven experience with Jenkins-based CI/CD automation, including pipelines, quality gates, artifact publishing, and deployments.
- Experience using and leading adoption of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, code review, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations in engineering workflows.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and Python.
