Responsibilities
- Analyze business objectives and customer requirements to propose technical solutions.
- Provide estimates and contribute to solution planning, design, delivery, and design reviews.
- Develop, code, unit test, and peer-review software solutions and documentation.
- Plan and manage software releases, rollouts, hotfixes, patches, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide technical estimates and inputs for pre-sales activities, proposals, and design workshops.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams on requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions.
- Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define high-level functional and technical approaches.
- Investigate and resolve defects and issues, providing code fixes and unit testing within defined SLAs.
- Support go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and deployment needs across customer time zones.
- Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients.
- Provide technical guidance to assigned engineers and take ownership of end-to-end project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline; alternatives include MCA or an MSc in Computer Science.
- 7.5–10 years of total experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Experience in API design, development, testing, and JSON/XML file transformations.
- Experience with test management and test execution.
- Prior Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or other WMS platform experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, database tools, source control, and operating systems.
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio, Windows, Linux, Unix, and JIRA.
- Experience using Cursor AI, Replit AI, or GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, make technical decisions, guide engineers, and communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
