Responsibilities
- Build, code, unit test, and maintain high-performance scalable applications for supply chain management.
- Develop cloud-native warehouse management systems supporting inventory distribution and order fulfillment.
- Design and maintain Java-based web services and distributed systems with scalability and fault tolerance.
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and improve software before and after launch.
- Collaborate with team members on software requirements, development practices, and ongoing updates.
- Develop software that monitors the sharing of private information and supports software security.
- Explore opportunities to automate, optimize, and improve systems and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 5.5 years of software engineering experience, or 5 years of software engineering experience as an alternative qualification.
- At least 5.5 years of object-oriented programming experience in Java is stated in the role description.
- Strong computer systems fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with J2EE web services or applications, Kafka, Apache Camel, RESTful web services, Spring, Hibernate, Splunk, and caching.
- Experience with systems design, distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience or exposure to SQL and NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra, Elastic, and Mongo.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as OpenStack, Azure, GCP, or AWS.
- Exposure to build, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
- Preferred accessibility experience includes WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and accessible digital product practices; Cisco certification is also listed as preferred.
