Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the health, performance, and stability of AI model integrations with government systems, platforms, and data environments.
- Build and maintain documentation, metrics, monitors, and troubleshooting tools to improve observability and operability.
- Respond to automated alerts and customer-reported problems, investigate incidents, and drive lasting fixes.
- Partner with government agency stakeholders and adjacent product teams to understand operational needs, prototype solutions, and iterate on feedback.
- Address technical debt in essential codebases and inform strategic investments in core products.
- Participate in business-hours and occasional weekend on-call rotations for resilient, high-uptime production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building scalable systems, APIs, or AI/ML applications, with strong Python proficiency preferred.
- Experience with large language models, generative AI, or agentic systems in research, production, or applied engineering.
- 1+ years of experience working on enterprise applications serving more than 10,000 users across geographies and time zones.
- Familiarity with government or public-sector technology environments or regulated industries.
- Ability to translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into concrete technical solutions and write clean, maintainable, high-performance code.
- Strong problem-solving, intellectual curiosity, and communication skills.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and API orchestration.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed, travel 20% to government sites if required, and obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $125,000.00-$195,000.00 across Level 1 and Level 2, with actual level and salary determined by qualifications.
