Senior/Lead Distributed Systems Software Engineer(Cloud Infra)

Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed filesystem components and frameworks for scale and efficiency.
- Develop production-ready software for Salesforce’s cloud platform and multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Research, design, develop, update, and enhance computer and network software.
- Contribute to code reviews, deployment automation, documentation, planning, retrospectives, and other team activities.
- Lead technical collaboration, mentor junior engineers, and provide guidance to team members.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver roadmap objectives.
- Resolve complex technical issues and improve system scalability, robustness, and availability.
- Troubleshoot owned services and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Create, maintain, and share technical documentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience and mastery of systems design and platforms.
- Deep knowledge of designing distributed filesystems for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong object-oriented programming and scripting skills using Java and Python.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Trino.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
- Understanding of queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Strong software development best-practices knowledge and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with design patterns, big data or machine learning, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing multinational organization is preferred.
