Base Salary
$164k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems that process, enrich, and respond to billions of behavioral events per day in real time.
- Develop high-performance APIs and services supporting advertising, identity, and intent features.
- Use machine learning and LLMs to analyze behavioral data, classify content, extract signals, and support intelligent decisions.
- Build intelligent agents and LLM-powered workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph and MCP.
- Design and operate streaming and batch data pipelines with Kafka, Kinesis, and ClickHouse.
- Drive quality, performance, scalability, and observability for owned systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers on customer-facing features and internal tooling.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of backend, data, or infrastructure engineering experience, or equivalent impact and leadership.
- Strong experience in distributed systems engineering, big data infrastructure, or applied AI/ML involving LLMs.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Go, and Python.
- Strong SQL and large-scale data-modeling skills.
- Familiarity with ClickHouse, DynamoDB, Bigtable, Memcached, Kafka, Kinesis, Firehose, Airflow, and Snowflake.
- Experience designing LLM-powered systems such as RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, or intelligent workflows.
- Comfort using LLM tools such as Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude in the development workflow.
- Experience in ad tech, real-time bidding, programmatic systems, identity resolution, attribution, or behavioral analytics is a bonus.
- Open-source contributions in ML, infrastructure, or data tooling are a bonus.
